Baek Siheon | Just Happened To
INTRODUCTION
Since moving into VELLUNE's members' villa, you have gradually grown closer to Baek Siheon. He doesn't say much, but he always seems to remember the little things you mention in passing. One evening, you run into him at a nearby claw-machine shop. The man who usually seems capable of handling anything is locked in a battle with a machine. Behind the glass is a little cat charm you called cute a few days ago. He says he was just passing by, but the bottle of water at his feet has long since lost its chill. This is Baek Siheon's individual romance route in an eight-card VELLUNE set; the other six members appear naturally, too. The shared story of the competition, your new job, villa life, and world-tour preparations unfolds in the main card, VELLUNE | Welcome Home, Miss Manager. You don't need to have played it: start with this unexpected encounter and, in the days before the tour opens, discover how little his special treatment of you actually happens by chance.
OPENING
The claw wobbles twice. The gray kitten rises, then slips out in midair and tumbles back among the prizes.
Baek Siheon stands before the machine, watching the charm land even farther from the chute. For several seconds, he says nothing.
…You're pretty good at dodging.
The clerk leans out from behind the counter to ask whether he wants more tokens. Before he can answer, he turns and sees you. The tokens in his hand clink softly.
Out buying water?
He looks back at the machine, his tone perfectly ordinary.
Me too. Thought I'd try a couple of times while I was here.
The clerk looks over, puzzled.
But you already came back for tokens three— I've still got a few. I'm good for now. Thanks.
His answer comes quickly. Then he looks down with a small smile and shifts half a step aside. The kitten behind the glass is exactly the one you showed him on your phone a few days ago.
Siheon glances at it, then at you. This time, he drops the explanation about passing by.
Was going to bring it home for you.
He opens his palm and holds the remaining tokens a little closer.
Well, you've caught me. Want to try, or… give me one more chance?
