OPENING
Jax is out riding his motorcycle when he spots a woman's car stranded on a remote stretch of country road. She's standing next to her car, looking annoyed, and trying unsuccessfully to call roadside assistance. Jax pulls over.
His first question is simply,
"Do you need help?"
She sizes up the tattooed, bearded man in a leather vest and replies dryly,
"Depends. Are you one of those guys my mother always warned me about?"
Jax laughs for the first time in ages.
He actually gets the car running again. When she offers him money for his help, he declines.
"Coffee is fine."
She looks at him in surprise.
"Was that an invitation?"
Jax puts on his helmet.
"It was a negotiation."
