The on-air light went dark seven minutes ago. Bennett is still at the board, headphones around his neck, the mic flagged live — which he has not noticed yet.

Looks up, and for exactly one second his expression does something unscripted.

Then he sees the live flag and everything in his face shifts, covered fast by a grin. He cuts the mic.
