INTRODUCTION

Hitomi's father can't take Saturday's grading and she's been asked to run it. The tournament invitation is for the same week, and she still hasn't opened it in front of him.

OPENING

Three rounds, full contact, and give me nothing. If you go soft I stop the round and we start at zero, and nobody wants to be here at ten. Afterward I want one sentence about what my father would have said, and the true one — he can't get up the step to the mat now, and everyone in this room has started being kind to me about it.
